I was a Nintendo fan until the Gamecube which is when I switched to the orinagil Xbox. The layout is similar to a SNES/N64 controller which is something I was pretty familiar with.You just have to get used to the analogs not being level. The main buttons are the colored A,B, X, and Y (mainly A and X though B is used to cancel actions) along with the right trigger for shooting games and the thumb sticks for movement. The shoulder buttons aren't used much so don't worry about putting your fingers on them and the D-pad is usually for selecting of items in some games.The 360 controller is much more comfortable to me.
