Intentar instalar ubuntu o debian requiere la asistencia de alguien medianamente experimentado en muchos casos. Con la mayoría de las distribuciones suele haber problemas de falta de drivers y cosas por el estilo. Para tener la menor cantidad de problemas posibles y que todo funcione "automágicamente", yo recomiendo Mandriva 2007 Powerpack (que se puede descargar fácilmente con bit torrent). Y a los que se oponen a LINUX, si son jueguitos lo que quieren es mejor que se queden con MS, aunque UBUNTU tiene buenas opciones.
